“Prometheus” is nothing short of a cinematic masterpiece. Ridley Scott beautifully and epically returns to science fiction after having not directed a film in the genre he re-defined since 1982. It’s hard to put in to words the epic nature of a film that grabs you from the first second and doesn’t let go until after the theatre lights come up. The sense of sitting in a theatre seat and being fully engaged for the entirety of a film is rare these days but Scott knew exactly how to pace it to keep you on edge. Read the Full Review

Young Adult

“Young Adult” is a well-written, well-acted, awkward drama that carries the intensity and nail-biting essence of an wild action sequence. Awkward doesn’t even begin to describe some of the sequences in this Diablo Cody written, Jason Reitman directed flick. Anytime Charlize Theron’s character is on screen, you just feel like something crazy is about to happen. I loved the feeling of not knowing what she was going to do next. If you were in her path of destruction, you were going to get hurt. The genius behind Theron’s performance comes from the fact that she’s a terrible person, at least based on her actions. Though, I found myself actually feeling bad for her. I wanted her to get better and realize what she was doing was wrong. It’s amazing to me that Theron can grab that emotion out of an audience when a character’s intensions are just so wrong. Read the Full Review
